Windu Chalet

Windu Chalet is a two Chalet Property in a private complex near Petitenget Beach, Seminyak. Two stunning chalet connects to provide the ultimate luxury accommodation in Bali. Inspired by Asia’s iconic heritage hotels this fully staffed chalet combines an impeccable colonial style with modern amenities, and is hugely spacious, suiting multiple families and groups of friends.

 

OVERVIEW

Windu Chalet is comprised of two self-contained Chalets– four-bedroom Chalet Sari and six-bedroom Chalet Asri – connected via a gateway. Combined, the property can host a total of twenty guests across its 10 bedrooms, making it ideal for families or larger groups.

Chalet Sari:

Chalet Sari features a stunning 14 metre swimming pool with a gorgeous Himalayan stone water cascade, along with a poolside bale, nestled within beautifully landscaped gardens. For guests wishing to top up their tan and make the most of the sunshine, there is a vast deck housing six sunbeds and an umbrella, and an adjacent pool shower. The Chalet also features a gorgeous rooftop terrace for entertaining, along with a media room and gym.

The living and dining areas are housed within an open-fronted pavilion with high vaulted ceilings, and exquisite marble flooring, complemented by timber walls and Indian stone. The dining area is complete with a teakwood table seating up to 20, perfect for lavish dinner parties.

There is a Sonos sound system with an extensive music library, controlled by an iPad available for guest use. For younger guests, there is a media room with comfortable armchairs, set before a 50-inch plasma screen TV, with a DVD player and state-of-the-art Yamaha surround sound system.

The bedrooms of Chalet Sari are made up as follows: All four air-conditioned bedroom suites are in a two-story sleeping pavilion at one end of the pool. All have sliding glass doors with teakwood shutters, polished wood floors, hand-made coffered timber ceilings, and handsome furniture enriched with Jim Thomson silks. All have 32-inch TVs with cable channels.

The second level master bedroom and guest bedroom have king-size beds (convertible to twin) and share a long balcony with daybeds looking onto the garden. The bathrooms feature a bathtub and rain shower.

The two ground level bedrooms have twin beds that can also be configured as a king. Both have garden bathrooms with a rain shower. One room has a bathtub and the other has a rain shower and an extra outdoor shower. Rollaway beds and cots can be provided for children.

Chalet Asri:

Inspired by Asia’s iconic Heritage Hotels, this stately Chalet has six bedrooms and has been painstakingly designed to be reminiscent of grand travel. The vast, spacious rooms are ideal for multiple groups of family and friends, with gorgeous colonial features and an exotic garden.

The sparkling 13 metre swimming pool features a shallow seating area at one end, and its crystal waters are inviting during the heat of the day, and ideal for guests wishing to maintain an active lifestyle, or just cool off after sunbathing on the terrace. Boasting sunbeds and an umbrella, ideal for a reprieve from the sunshine, there’s ample space to take in the surroundings, or enjoy a good book. There is also a huge poolside pavilion with plenty of comfortable seating for socializing, relaxing or entertaining. There’s an additional veranda with plush sofas and a coffee table outside the media room, so there’s ample seating for large groups. Surrounding the Chalet are beautifully landscaped gardens, featuring a built-in barbecue area, perfect for a casual dinner under the stars.

The interior of Chalet Asri is styled similarly to Chalet Sari with a teakwood-lined vaulted roof and polished marble flooring. The open front allows for cool breezes to flow through the property, seamlessly blending the inside and outside.

Featuring large upholstered sofas and chairs to relax into, and an informal dining table seating up to 16, the living and dining pavilion is ideal for hosting functions, whether a birthday or reunion. For cocktail connoisseurs, there’s a bar with stools facing a kitchenette with cocktail equipment and a bar fridge. For a more upscale occasion, there’s a formal air-conditioned dining room seating up to 12 adjacent to a state-of-the-art kitchen with a separate back-up kitchen for functions.

Similarly to Chalet Sari, there is also a media room with a 60-inch TV, DVD player, Sonos sound system, and a drinks fridge, allowing guests to have a choice between two different cinema screenings in the privacy of their own Chalet

The bedrooms of Chalet Sari are as follows: Named after Indonesia’s main islands, the six air-conditioned bedroom suites are very spacious. They are all equally impressive so there’s no designated master suite.

Four rooms have super-king four-poster beds, and two have twin beds that can be set up as super-kings. All have 40-inch satellite TVs and a DVD/CD player, as well as a safe deposit box. The bathrooms are large, with double basins and walk-in rain-shower. Two rooms have garden courtyards with bathtubs.

Two connecting bedrooms occupy a separate pavilion by the pool, each with garden bathrooms and a shared terrace with seating overlooking the pool. One bedroom is on the ground floor of the main pavilion, and three are on the upper level, opening onto shaded terraces. Rollaway beds and cots can be provided for children.
