Villa Castel is a beautiful villa gloriously elevated in mountain landscape, minutes from the pristine sandy beaches and turquoise waters of the Côte d’Azur.

Located just 35 minutes from Nice airport and 20 minutes from Cannes, the villa could not be more perfectly located to enjoy a secluded, sumptuous break amongst friends, family or colleagues. As well as private events and weddings (max capacity – 80 guests), the property hosted a number of prestigious corporate leadership summits and conferences.

This sophisticated and very private French residence combines elegant architectural features and modern indulgences. Built in 1904 by Lord Amherst of London, the villa retains its original character despite having been lovingly restored over the last four years to a luxurious and state of the art property. Antiques mix with contemporary themes inside whilst the historic courtyard with its surrounding cloisters, offers an atmospheric and romantic outdoor space perfect for dinners and parties. Beautifully situated amongst olive, pine parasol trees and lovely gardens, a large, new and heated infinity pool complete the Mediterranean picture.

The villa is perfect for entertainment with five charming and spacious reception rooms. There are three traditionally styled rooms with chandeliers, oak floors and original fireplaces, ideal for dinners and meetings. These rooms open onto the terrace and benefit from stunning views over the south facing pool gardens. There is also a Grand salon, an elegant and spacious room with marble floor and marble fireplace plus the Petit salon, a cosy and more relaxed sitting room with TV and doors to the cloisters. The rooms are complemented by a state of the art cinema and games room with billiard table and private garden area, which suit either home entertainment or corporate presentations.

The property features 15 bedrooms: 12 luxury en suite bedrooms and 3 charming double bedrooms. All the rooms are individually furnished in traditional style, benefitting from sea views over the Bay of St. Tropez or stunning views of the Esterel mountains. They provide charming accommodation, sumptuously furnished in a fresh and calm Mediterranean style accented with beautiful oak parquet floors, individually selected antiques and traditional fireplaces. This is a very sophisticated property, in a glorious part of the world, and makes an excellent venue for any event, whatever the size.

The villa is let on a self-catered basis but a chef is available for professional catering, as well as a chauffeur, concierge, secretary and baby sitter.

There are numerous activities which can be arranged locally including sailing trips to St. Tropez and the Lerin Islands, windsurfing, kayaking and golf, tennis coaching, guided walks in the mountains whilst enjoying stunning sea views, mountain biking and horse riding, visits to fantastic Provencal vineyards and wonderful historic villages. Additionally private cookery lessons and art classes can be offered at Villa Castel and an experienced beautician is available for our guests.
