OVERVIEW

Windu Chalet is comprised of two self-contained Chalets– four-bedroom Chalet Sari and six-bedroom Chalet Asri – connected via a gateway. Combined, the property can host a total of twenty guests across its 10 bedrooms, making it ideal for families or larger groups.

Chalet Sari:

Chalet Sari features a stunning 14 metre swimming pool with a gorgeous Himalayan stone water cascade, along with a poolside bale, nestled within beautifully landscaped gardens. For guests wishing to top up their tan and make the most of the sunshine, there is a vast deck housing six sunbeds and an umbrella, and an adjacent pool shower. The Chalet also features a gorgeous rooftop terrace for entertaining, along with a media room and gym.

The living and dining areas are housed within an open-fronted pavilion with high vaulted ceilings, and exquisite marble flooring, complemented by timber walls and Indian stone. The dining area is complete with a teakwood table seating up to 20, perfect for lavish dinner parties.

There is a Sonos sound system with an extensive music library, controlled by an iPad available for guest use. For younger guests, there is a media room with comfortable armchairs, set before a 50-inch plasma screen TV, with a DVD player and state-of-the-art Yamaha surround sound system.

The bedrooms of Chalet Sari are made up as follows: All four air-conditioned bedroom suites are in a two-story sleeping pavilion at one end of the pool. All have sliding glass doors with teakwood shutters, polished wood floors, hand-made coffered timber ceilings, and handsome furniture enriched with Jim Thomson silks. All have 32-inch TVs with cable channels.

The second level master bedroom and guest bedroom have king-size beds (convertible to twin) and share a long balcony with daybeds looking onto the garden. The bathrooms feature a bathtub and rain shower.

The two ground level bedrooms have twin beds that can also be configured as a king. Both have garden bathrooms with a rain shower. One room has a bathtub and the other has a rain shower and an extra outdoor shower. Rollaway beds and cots can be provided for children.

Chalet Asri:

Inspired by Asia’s iconic Heritage Hotels, this stately Chalet has six bedrooms and has been painstakingly designed to be reminiscent of grand travel. The vast, spacious rooms are ideal for multiple groups of family and friends, with gorgeous colonial features and an exotic garden.

The sparkling 13 metre swimming pool features a shallow seating area at one end, and its crystal waters are inviting during the heat of the day, and ideal for guests wishing to maintain an active lifestyle, or just cool off after sunbathing on the terrace. Boasting sunbeds and an umbrella, ideal for a reprieve from the sunshine, there’s ample space to take in the surroundings, or enjoy a good book. There is also a huge poolside pavilion with plenty of comfortable seating for socializing, relaxing or entertaining. There’s an additional veranda with plush sofas and a coffee table outside the media room, so there’s ample seating for large groups. Surrounding the Chalet are beautifully landscaped gardens, featuring a built-in barbecue area, perfect for a casual dinner under the stars.

The interior of Chalet Asri is styled similarly to Chalet Sari with a teakwood-lined vaulted roof and polished marble flooring. The open front allows for cool breezes to flow through the property, seamlessly blending the inside and outside.

Featuring large upholstered sofas and chairs to relax into, and an informal dining table seating up to 16, the living and dining pavilion is ideal for hosting functions, whether a birthday or reunion. For cocktail connoisseurs, there’s a bar with stools facing a kitchenette with cocktail equipment and a bar fridge. For a more upscale occasion, there’s a formal air-conditioned dining room seating up to 12 adjacent to a state-of-the-art kitchen with a separate back-up kitchen for functions.

Similarly to Chalet Sari, there is also a media room with a 60-inch TV, DVD player, Sonos sound system, and a drinks fridge, allowing guests to have a choice between two different cinema screenings in the privacy of their own Chalet

The bedrooms of Chalet Sari are as follows: Named after Indonesia’s main islands, the six air-conditioned bedroom suites are very spacious. They are all equally impressive so there’s no designated master suite.

Four rooms have super-king four-poster beds, and two have twin beds that can be set up as super-kings. All have 40-inch satellite TVs and a DVD/CD player, as well as a safe deposit box. The bathrooms are large, with double basins and walk-in rain-shower. Two rooms have garden courtyards with bathtubs.

Two connecting bedrooms occupy a separate pavilion by the pool, each with garden bathrooms and a shared terrace with seating overlooking the pool. One bedroom is on the ground floor of the main pavilion, and three are on the upper level, opening onto shaded terraces. Rollaway beds and cots can be provided for children.

Villa Parlato is situated on a private peninsula, but guests have access to the nearby beach club, marina and golf and tennis at the Four Seasons. The property combines the intimacy of a private home with the services of a five-star hotel and was recently the proud host of the famous Kardashian family, offering the celebrities nothing but the best.

The property is characterized by large open spaces and an original, chic design. Great care was taken in the design of the interior; the ceilings are all hand crafted and the doors, which were brought from Indonesia, are truly masterpieces. All the other details such as the modern furniture and neutral colours used indoors and outdoors give a contemporary feel to the living space and create a restful ambiance. The eye is drawn to the unique details – the art works and the unusual elements like beaded chandeliers and stylish table lamps made of seashells. The absolute attention to detail is obvious in that the electrical outlets, smoke detectors and air-conditioning vents are painted to blend in with the walls, floors and ceilings. Adding the finishing touch to this beautiful villa are the breath-taking views of the Pacific Ocean.

The dining room has a formal stone-topped table and ocean views for elegant dinners, and the spacious kitchen has a long breakfast bar. There are three bedrooms in the main house at Villa Parlato and five in a separate casita.

All eight of the suites offer great comfort and relaxation and have television, mini-bar, morning coffee service, walk-in closets with Costa Rican hardwood details and full bathroom suites with bathtubs and showers finished in onyx, marble and customized tiling. The two master bedrooms have massive showers for two with glass walls allowing views of the sea.

The staff are fully informed of the area and are happy to share their knowledge and traditions with the guests.

The guests will be spoiled for choice by the number of activities available at Villa Parlato and will find it difficult to choose how to spend their time. They can enjoy a cocktail at one of the several open-air bars, meander between terraces, and stroll across the lawn to swim or watch a movie. Villa Parlato enjoys the services of an amazing chef who will create delicious dishes characterized by the use of organic products and guided by the local cuisine in order to introduce the guests to the Costa Rican culture. The chef is happy to create unique, distinctive menus each night, and he is equally enthusiastic about working with the guests to cater to their individual tastes.

The managers of the villa, Jennifer and Chris, have lived in Costa Rica for over 20 years and bring great value to the property. Jennifer teaches yoga classes on the yoga platform (she decided to do so herself after not finding anyone that could meet her standards), and Chris teaches surfing and stand-up paddle-boarding at the private beach, which is a five-minute drive away.

All guests’ needs will be met with the highest standard being the order of the day – if you are looking for an all-inclusive experience where you don’t need to worry about anything, this is the ideal place to be. Every detail has been carefully chosen to make your stay a most memorable experience.

On the side of the Schlosskopf slope in picturesque Oberlech sit the pair of stunning Jewel chalets. Chalet Jewel Two is the smaller of the two, offering 800 square metres of space and sleeping up to eight guests.

The chalet’s sun terrace offers the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or evening drinks as the sun sets over the slopes. Guests can also relax in the spacious outdoor Jacuzzi or enjoy the ice rink (shared with Chalet Jewel One) using equipment provided.

The relaxation continues indoors with the private spa and wellness centre. Along with an 8m swimming pool, sauna and steam bath for easing tired ski muscles, there is also a relaxation area, a Vital bar with refreshments, and massage room where in-house treatments can be arranged. For those keeping up their off-slope fitness, there is a fitness room with basic gym machines.

Guests of all ages will be kept busy with the chalet’s plentiful entertainments facilities. There is a party room with an array of board and table games, and an entertainment system, as well as a cinema room, which can be transformed into a yoga studio for in-house fitness sessions. The chalet also features a wine cellar and bar area, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine whilst catching up on the day’s events with fellow guests.

The main living area features a central fireplace with plenty of sumptuous seating, perfect for nights in, along with an elegant dining space where hearty gourmet meals prepared by the private chef can be enjoyed.

Up to eight guests can be accommodated in one master suite and three standard double rooms, all with en-suite facilities, and most with balcony or terrace access.
